Patty Lee’s Jam Squares

3/4 Cup of butter
1 1/2 cup of flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup quick cooking oatmeal
*1 cup Crooked River Herb Farm Jam
**1/4 chopped nuts

 

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Melt butter in saucepan

Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and sugar and oatmeal

Press about 2/3 of the mixture into a greased 9” baking pan

Heat and stir jams over low heat, spread over crust

Toss nuts with remaining oatmeal mixture and press down lightly

Bake 30-35 minutes

Cool Completely
